Jen
McAuliffe

WRITER

Hello

Here's who I am & what I do

Jen McAuliffe is an exciting and highly accomplished, multi-award-winning TV and film writer. Her journey from the writers' room of "Neighbours" to the Global Drama Script Club at Fremantle Australia is marked by excellence.

Holding a degree in Media and Communications, her journey in the world of storytelling has been marked by outstanding achievements and recognition, catching the attention of HBO executive Carla Moore, who personally headhunted her to join their network's stable of talent.

Her screenplay, "Heartbreak Under a Neon Streetlight," has won a remarkable 100 awards including Best Female Screenwriter at the Chicago Script Awards and Best TV Pilot at the Hollywood Script Awards, coupled with nominations at prestigious events like the Swedish International Film Festival and the LA Independent Women Film Awards. Her script boldly delves into the topical realm of gaslighting, which also captured media acclaim with a feature article on Jen and her script being published in ELLE Canada magazine.

Jen’s HBO's Silicon Valley spec script won the WILDsound TV Spec Script competition (October 2015) and secured third place in the New York Screen Play contest (September 2016), further solidifying Jen's reputation.

Jen's influence extends beyond the written word. She has curated speaker roundtables at the Cannes Film Festival, contributed to the off-Broadway production and served as a discerning judge at film festivals. She crafted award-winning webisodes ("Lipsmacker" and "Last Active") and the impactful documentary short, "Bleeding through Taboo"  coupled with a successful podcast " Chatworthy" that focus on creatives and the media and TV landscape.

She has also started a theatre focused company with Actress, Victoria Nieves called "Off with their heads productions" with works in the pipeline for 2024.

Jen's writing style is witty and irreverent; most importantly, it is universal. She crafts stories that speak to global audiences.
